EffJay Photography is a natural light/on-location photography service for people who value the story of their lives and want to capture it in a beautiful and authentic visual way.

In the digital age, we all have a camera at our finger tips for the everyday and in-between. But the milestones, the moments we want to soak in and remember, deserve something special. You should be LIVING those moments, not worrying about documenting them, and that’s where I come in.

I care about capturing each story as if it was my own. I want you to have a visual way to remember how confident and excited you are as a graduating senior, or that your five year old crinkles their nose when they smile, or the way the love of your life looks at you like you’re the only two people in the world.

I’ve been illustrating milestones like these and more for people all over the country since 2011. My style lands between timeless and artistic, creating art out of your life while also staying true to your story.

I was born and raised in the Southwest and I’m currently living in the Midwest with my husband and our two dogs that we count as children.

If you have a dog, I would love to hear all about it, I love all of them.

Forests, lakes, flower fields, and creeks are my favorite places to shoot and also just to exist.

I’m an Enneagram 9, a Hufflepuff, and a loyal but low key Buffalo Bills Fan.

My favorite part about being a photographer is really the people I get to photograph. Since my focus is milestones and personal connection piece is a vital part of my process, I have many clients who I’ve photographed through multiple years and multiple life events. Getting to illustrate such important parts of their lives quickly turns them into life-long friends and it only makes photographing them even more special.
