Todd + Melissa: Engaged | Austin Wedding Photographer | Coffee Shop Engagement Session
Who here loves coffee? *raises hand* I've become an aspiring coffee snob since moving to Austin, TX thanks to all of the amazing local coffee shops around here. So I was extremely excited on my last trip to AZ when I found a local coffee shop AND I got to shoot an adorable engagement session there. It was an all around win.
Melissa and Todd are one of those couples who are just effortlessly beautiful and real which makes for amazing images. I say it all of the time, but it's always so intriguing to me how much more beautiful a person can be when they're with their "other half". I've been lucky enough to photograph some clients multiple times and sometimes it's without their partner. After I do the sessions, I can always tell the difference in their face, in their body language, in their emotion, and I see it most through the images when I'm pouring over them at home. That's the thing that makes it magical to me. Of course the session itself is different if it's a headshot session vs. an engagement session, but when you can just feel it in the images, you know something is there. It's my favorite part of capturing engagement/couples photos. Melissa and Todd are a perfect example of a couple who's love is SO apparent in their photos to me. Of course in person, it was was pretty apparent too. Funny enough, they both were concerned they might be a little awkward or not know what to do. But as soon as I told them to just look at each other, it was like the whole world melted away and they just had the best morning existing together. It was absolutely perfect and I'm so happy I had the honor of freezing some of these moments forever.
So thank you Todd and Melissa, for allowing me to witness and photograph your love. Also, thank you for helping me cross "photograph an adorable couple in a coffee shop" off of my wishlist. I'm so happy that you two found each other and excited for all of the adventures you have ahead of you!
